Capt.
Richmond "George" Fryer
1956 -
2006
"Class of 75"

Joe's
Note Says it all...
Hey Guy, how are ya? George passed away on the 9th of May. I
talked to his brother Jeff the day I got back from sea, and he says he checked
into the hospital on the 5th and died a few days later. He left Thelma sitting
pretty good financially, and Jeff took the cats, so it sounds like George was
able to get things in order before he left this world. I just hope he smoked
himself a joint before he split, he deserved it. Later, Joe.

George Fryer; "Ferryboat Captain,
George Fryer", sounds good doesn’t it... I will make no jokes about
Ferryboats and the men that sail them. hee-hee-hee.. I
kept looking up George in the ’73 yearbook but the only thing I could
find was a sophomore kid with the same name… could this be our George? I
think he was banned by the class of ‘75 because he hung around with the
class of ’73. George actually graduated with honors from the "Instituteo-Corozal
for
Radically Aspiring
Zone Youths"
( 95% of "I-CRAZY " grads become
Navy SEALS the other 5% are Ferryboat Captains) It’s my thought, that
after smashing Rich Murphy in the head with a ball, during a game of
survival at the Gatun gym, George’s parents said enough is enough and he
was off to Corozal. PS… Don’t ever,
ever, let Jerry see your hat !!

So Long My Friend, we'll
miss ya - Guy

Note... from George's Brother, Jeff
Thank you so much for putting together a little "memorial" for George. I
truly appreciate your efforts.
I will be attending the 2007 Reunion (my 30th); and . . . I plan to
bring the memorial book I put together for the funeral along with a
second memorial book compiled from the dozens and dozens of photographs
that George was known to take. Please let "folks" know that I will have
these two books with me at the 2007 Reunion; and . . . I will probably
need some help in identifying everyone in the photos.
Also, feel free to pass along my contact information:
